Emerson, Bruce R. of Brooklyn Park passed away suddenly at age 75, on February 26, 2022 at his winter retreat in Orange Beach, AL. He is survived by wife Vicki; daughter Victoria (Mark) Cobb, step-daughter Jennifer (James) Allen; step-son Jason (Kelly) Weber; brothers Robert (Clarice) and Eric (Sunny Jo); 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Emerson; first wife Sandra; son Ronald and granddaughter Olivia Cobb. Bruce was employed as a sheet metal fabricator and designer for over 45 years. He enjoyed the life of a retiree pursuing many travel experiences, collecting vintage comic books and enjoying wandering through antique stores commenting on items reminiscent of his childhood. He and Vicki enjoyed spending the summers at their lake home in northern Minnesota and winters as snowbirds on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Bruce was known for his quick wit, enhanced by his love of sarcasm; his love of cars; his tender heart; and the deep love of his family. Bruce's Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Discover Church, 1400 81st Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, MN 55444. Visitation 10 11 am, service at 11 am. Memorials are preferred to CEAP or Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp in Amery, WI.
