
Colleen Lothert

Colleen E. Lothert, “Morning Star”, age 69 of the Lower Sioux Community entered the Sprit World Monday, February 29, 2016 at 12:33 a.m. at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park after a brief illness. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3 at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church. Burial was in St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Cemetery.
Colleen Eunice Lothert was born May 16, 1946 in Pipestone, Minnesota to John and Ruth (Dow) Cavender. She graduated from Mounds View High School in 1964. Colleen married Dennis Lothert in the summer of 1991 at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church. She worked at Chicago Cutlery as a key punch operator and later at Jackpot Junction. Colleen enjoyed cooking in her younger years, collecting hearts, and gaming. She was a very good homemaker who enjoyed decorating for and celebrating the seasons and holidays. Colleen loved her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as she could.
Colleen is survived by her husband Dennis of 25 years; children: Taya (significant other Anne Marie) Kaufenberg of Minneapolis, Laise Fox (significant other Patrick Jordan) of Morton, and Jesse Fox (significant other Melissa) of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Wynonah Flores, Wasté We Flores, Havanah Fox, Skye Fox, Omarion “Roscoe” Jordan, and Clementine Kaufenberg; siblings: Melody Merrill, Julie and Anthony Marquin, all of the Lower Sioux Community; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Todd Michael Kaufenberg, brother Edward Marquin, and many other beloved relatives.
